Unique in the world: 17.3 hds, 8 yrs Friesian stallion Kay, 1st Premier, STER stallion, FPS Breed show Champion stallion
Kay is an absolutely unique stallion. With his majestic size of 17.3 hds it is absolutely amazing how he can move! This was avidly confirmed and rewarded by Dutch FPS judges: Kay achieved a 1st Premie, a Ster title and was also the FPS breed show Champion stallion in Europe in 2007, and just confirmed again: here in the U.S. at the 2011 Friesian keuring in Del Mar CA.
To our best knowledge there is no other living Friesian stallion of this height in the world, who has achieved the same awards. Kay was not accepted for breeding approval according to the judges only due to his tall height, way exceeding the breed standard. Yet: America loves him! (Breeding inquiries are coming in from everywhere, also from owners of Friesian mares regardless of his FPS approval.)
Kay is trained through 2nd level dressage and moves very forward and always motivated. He has potential for much more. Kay responds sensitively to balance changes and can despite his enormous size and weight be ridden with the touch of your little finger.
Kay is 100% sound and is sold with a full set of clean x-rays. His pedigree is equally impressive: he combines two of the most legendary Preferent stallions in Friesian history in his pedigree in 1st generation: Feitse 395 X Teunis 322! His damline shows unbroken Ster+Prefrent lines only.

"Olrik" - 7 yrs, 16.1-16.2 hds tall Feike X Olof (unbroken Ster lines!)
Olrik is a stallion of integrity with a heart of gold! He is very interactive and affectionate and always ready to work and learn. He has also proven here at Windermere Farms that he has the patience and kindness of an angel also with more novice riders. Olrik is however a responsive forward moving Friesian that can be ridden without much physical effort from the rider at dressage levels. He is very soft in his mouth and willingly bends and flexes in all directions without resistance.
Olrik has been at Windermere Farms on and off for brush up training over the past years. His owner has now decided to sell him for time reasons. Olrik has just come back to Windermere Farms and is catching up on his conditioning and 1st level dressage training. He is also drive trained and has extensively been driven out on trails a few years ago.
He has an excellent pedigree with unboken Ster, Preferent and Model lines only.
Olrik is an absolutely beautiful and very elegant Friesian! His swan-like neck is a dream to look at and his long forelock almost reaches his nostrils. His friendly laughing eyes and playful personality invite anybody to socialize with him. He is calm, friendly and non-spooky also around dogs, children, etc.

Cris was recently imported.
He is an impressive young stallion just starting his ridden career. He is started under saddle. He quietly/freely stands for a rider to get on and off, and he walks, trots and canters securely with a rider in both directions.
He is an extremely tall young stallion who we expect to mature at no less than 17.2 hds. His bloodlines are Monte 378 (Teuniss 322 Preferent) and his damline is Fetse 349, (out of Feitse Preferent). Stb, Ster, Ster+preferent, Ster!
Cris shows big elastic movement and we see him clearly excelling as an elegant and athletic dressage stallion! He was so far never presented at any Friesian judging ever but we expect him to make an impressive debut at the upcoming Friesian judging here in the U.S. this fall!
This is a young stallion with enormous presence who will make a statement where ever he is presented! He has an enormous amount of thick, full hair and will have a very, very long mane as he matures! Cris has a kind, patient disposition and is also very quiet and calm around mares.
At this early time in his ridden training he will still require a more experienced rider but his basic disposition is kind, calm and friendly!

Tjeerd, 1st Premie, 3 yrs, 16.1 hds
Tjeerd is a 3 yr old STER stallion with stunning looks and impressive movement! He achieved a 1st Premie and made his STER title with flying colors against much older stallions in the same class! He would be equally suited as a halter show-horse.
He is an elegant, modern Sporthorse-type Friesian with a beautiful head. Tjeerd has just been started under saddle. He is currently walking, trotting and cantering in both directions freely with a rider. We started him carefully and correctly here at Windermere Farms. His topline/balance was correctly developed before he was mounted for the first time. He is 100% comfortable with a rider and stands freely and quietly to be mounted and dismounted. Verdi is everything one can dream of in a Friesian stallion! He not only shows very baroque looks with an enormous amount of hair, but he also combines it with big, highly elastic Sporthorse movement very suitable for the dressage arena. A combination that is extremely rare to find in the Friesian world!
His character is impeccable! We know Verdi since he was a baby (in Germany) and he was raised with the utmost love and care, which then was continued by his American owner.

Hindrik is likely the most talented dressage Friesian we ever had at Windermere Farms!
Hindrik is with us for approximately eight months now and has tremendously progressed in his development and his performance! At this early age his extended trot is already suitable to let any German Warmblood look 'pale'.
Hindrik very readily offers flying changes and his counter canter is almost fully established. This young stallion is not only ideally build uphill with a strong, short coupled back, but he also has the talent and most important the work curious, enthusiastic work ethic to go all the way to FEI levels. (This is confirmed by FEI trainers, and only my personal opinion)! Short: this is a truly exceptional opportunity for a truly serious dressage rider who knows what he/she is looking for! HIndrik moves readily off the leg and is rideable without any physical effort.
This stallion is very light i n his movement, and light in his contact. He is solely ridden in a double jointed Mylar snaffle and he has CORRECT, solid training. He was moved along carefully but targeted, accompanied by regular cranio sacral body work, to ensure his utmost comfort and suppleness. Hindrik's personality is priceless. He is a trooper out on trails and very courageous and curious in any situation. The material a true showhorse is made of!
His track record is as stunning as Hindrik himself. He was Holland's FPS Champion colt in 2002 and achieved since, 1st Premies and a Ster title. Our purest product, so to speak, and we believe it shows in his very athletic built and his amazing disposition! Fabian is bred out of the tall and elegant Ster mare Marije Ant (shown in our photo gallery -Anton bloodlines!) Fabian was very recently, calmly and correctly, started under saddle - without the presence of a 2nd person.
This young stallion is 100% trusting and therefore calm and relaxed. He did not require a 2nd person to hold him even for being mounted for the 1st time. He stood quietly and patiently -entirely voluntarily. Fabian moved supple and comfortable from day 1 under saddle without any fear! He is now even safe to be ridden 10' from a mare in heat at this young age.
