Please understand that our mares in foal can not be sold including their foals, 5 minutes before foaling! If the mare foals out at Windermere Farms, mare and foal will be priced separately.

Please also consider that a mare highly in foal can no longer travel to the other side of the country shortly before foaling.

Please make your purchase timely!

We believe our mares that include foals are priced very reasonably considering their quality, looks, pedigrees, training and peak condition. We encourage you to compare prices and quality of Ster and Stamboek mares on the internet and then consider the added value of our mares in foal! Each one of the foals we are expecting shortly, has a value of no less than $8500.00

Jasperina - in foal!

4-years, 16.0 Hands (Wibe x Meier)
She has a lot of beautiful hair and is very affectionate. Jasperina has good basic training under saddle and her movement has true Ster potential or suggests also a career in the dressage arena!



Jasperina is currently in foal to the Dutch FPS stallion Tsjibke for a 2008 foal. She is a very versatile young mare with beautiful looks! SOLD

Lobke - STER Mare

4-years, 16.3-17 Hands (Tije x Oltman)
Lobke is an extremely tall young STER mare with powerful big movement! She easily achieved her Ster title amongst Dutch competition! She is broke to ride with basic dressage training. A dream for a dressage rider, looking for a Friesian with truly commetitive movement!



Lobke has 3 impressive gaits: her walk is connected and long strided, her trot...the photos speak for themselves, and her canter reminds us of a rocking horse. It is extremely uphill and cadenced! Lobke has superior qualities as a dressage mare and also as a broodmare.

We are proud to show this exceptional filly! Zaphire was very tall from the minute she was born. She is super elegant with extremely long legs, a short coupled back and a beautiful swan-like neck. Her face is very feminine , reflecting her curious, affectionate and cooperative personality.

The most amazing thing about Zaphire is her incredible movement! The photos show her at one week of age; she literally floats above the ground with a lightness that is pure beauty in motion! Her long legs produce a long, elegant stride and her extremely active hind end gives her enormous natural propulsion. As a dressage rider, I am very excited about this filly! Aside from her Ster/broodmare potential in the Friesian world, this is a filly that will have the movement, conformation and the mind to excel to impressive levels in the dressage arena! She is lovingly called: "the little ballerina" at Windermere Farms.







Zaphire is very trusting and even allows to be petted and cuddled when laying down in her stall (she was imprinted at birth). Zaphire is pure joy to watch moving, or to socialize and cuddle with in her stall. A dream filly that will leave no wish unfulfilled...

Zoe is a beautiful Anton filly ouf of the STER mare, Yrieka. Zoe reflects her prestigious breeding in presence, movemenet and character!



The photos show her at three months and she is developing beautifully! Zoe's dam shows only one gap in her Ster line: Zoe's grandmother. This mare will more than likely achieve her Preferent title this fall.

This event would close the pedigree of Zoe's dam, the Ster mare Yrieka. It would make Zoe an Anton filly (the highest stud fee in the U.S.!) with unbroken Ster llines throughout her entire pedigree. Zoe is therefore an excellent future broodmare prospect for a serious breeder of quality Friesian horses!
